Itinerary

1. The journey begins with a transition from Lima to the mountain hub of Huaraz. You’ll perform a series of progressive acclimatization hikes, gaining an initial window into the landscape at Laguna Wilcacocha and the steep ancient Inca trails of Laguna Churup (4,450 m). This phase reaches its culminating point with a one-day guided ascent of Nevado Mateo (5,150 m), providing a 10/10 vertical standard for beginners to test their gear before the higher peaks.
2. The core of the first summit attempt involves a transition through the Santa Cruz Valley. You’ll perform the approach to Alpamayo Base Camp (4,300 m), witnessing the vertical standard of the high Punta Union Pass.
